How Is Forward Wayne County Guided?

Forward Wayne County is represented by a Leadership Forum, Steering Committee, Executive Committee, and Program Director.

Leadership Forum

The Forward Wayne County Leadership Forum is a large-group that meets quarterly in the community.  Comprised of county leaders representing multiple disciplines who function collectively to articulate the initiative’s vision, the Leadership Forum helps set measureable goals and objectives, assess processes and progresses, and provide feedback to help sustain accountability.

Steering Committee and Executive Committee

The Steering Committee of Forward Wayne County provides a coordinating framework and organizational direction.  Functioning as a consultative committee, the Steering Committee identifies focus areas for the Program Director and helps guide measurable progress.

Executive Committee members sit on the Steering Committee, but also function collaboratively as a small supportive subcommittee.  The Executive Committee meets with the Program Director twice monthly to provide the Program Director with guidance.

Program Director

The Program Director acts as the main point of contact and coordination for Forward Wayne County. The Program Director coordinates with local stakeholders at the individual, group, organization, and municipality level to realize common goals.  Using a collective impact framework, the Program Director acts as a backbone support – planning, managing, and supporting the initiative is the key role enacted to attain goals outlined to address the county’s defined needs.
