Forward Wayne County Releases Teen Workforce Chat Report
Forward Wayne County (FWC) released the Teen Workforce Report after several months of
data collection and aggregation. Key themes that students shared are that work culture drive outcomes and that they are watching how employers treat employees as a determinant if they will work for them in the future. Read the full press release here.

2023 County Indicator Report
The Wayne County Foundation and Forward Wayne County (FWC) have released the County Indicator Report for 2023. The report gathers key community indicators from a variety of sources in one location. The results were not surprising. Read the full press release here.
Forward Wayne County Completes Main Street Structural Feasibility Study
Forward Wayne County, in conjunction with several community partners,
completed reporting of the Main Street Structural Feasibility Study. A total of 62 buildings, representing 97 addresses, were included in the report. Read the full press release here.

Forward Wayne County (FWC) has awarded more than $20,000 to NICE! projects across the county. NICE! (Neighborhood Involvement & Community Engagement) is a six week, asset-based community development program developed by Forward Wayne County with support from Lilly Endowment Inc. Forward Wayne County (FWC) is launching a Richmond edition of its Neighborhood Involvement and Community Engagement (NICE!) virtual series. Taskforce Releases Broadband Survey Results.
The Wayne County Broadband Taskforce, in partnership with Purdue University Center for Regional Development, released the county-wide broadband survey results today. The online survey was conducted in March and covered a wide range of topics including usage, actual speeds, and lack of access. Learn more in our press release.

Center for Regional Development, launched a county-wide broadband survey online.
It is open to all residents and we encourage completion by the head of households throughout Wayne County. The survey is designed to study the usage, actual speeds, opportunities, and lack of access around the

Wayne County joins the 21st Century Talent Region.
The process has been worked on locally by Forward Wayne County’s Employability Coalition.
The Coalition’s efforts align directly to the regional approach of increasing educational attainment, raising household income, reducing poverty, and growing population. Learn more in our press release.

This program will provide residents and community organizations with the tools, resources, and steps for enacting community development through encouraging residents to become co-producers of their community’s well-being.
